EXPERIENCE
Website Design & Development
Largest Public Health Insurance Provider for Military and
Area Public
Member of a team of interface designers and developers creating
an website dedicated to providing insureds direct access
to their claims and health insurance information. Jennifer
was the lead designer responsible for working with the java
developers to implement code using IBM WebSphere 4.0 into
the design templates she created. Of the team of designers,
her design was selected as the interface to use on the public
site. Jennifer was also part of a team responsible for promoting
usability by conducting usability testing and ensuring the
site was compliant with accessibility standards including
508 compliancy.
Design Lead for a Great Lakes Higher
Education
Senior designer for an exit and entrance counseling website
used to educate students on their rights and responsibilities
for obtaining student loans. The site is one of the newest
in its field and was designed and developed by Jennifer
to be easily branded and re-created by each university that
uses it. Jennifer worked with a development team to create
a site unique and modern to its university audience while
technically allowing the site to morph dynamically for each
school using it with little administrative efforts.
Website Design and Development for American
Appraisal Valuation Consulting Firm
Solely responsible for successfully completing a renovation
and redesign of an existing web presence for the largest
valuation company in the world. The website provides professionals
with an extensive look at valuation markets and services
by seamlessly combining a streamlined navigation with a
fresh look and feel that was based on the company’s
newly branded print & media collateral. Jennifer also
provided one-on-one training to staff on maintaining and
expanding their new web interface. In addition, she wrote
user documentation and style guides for the client to assist
them with sustaining their site.
Interface Design For Bank of New York
Jennifer built a frame-based interface to facilitate the
trading of fixed income securities for the largest stock.
This website allowed customers of the financial institution
to search through an inventory of available fixed income
securities and place orders for the securities in which
they were interested. Most of the functionality was provided
by integrating the website with a third party fixed income
trading system. Jennifer was the lead designer for the site.
Interface Design And Development for
Homestore.com and third party partners
Jennifer was a responsible for over a dozen websites for
a leading network of home and real estate-related information,
products and services. Jennifer designed, developed and
implemented web sites for the client who provides consumers
with over 1.4 million new and existing homes for sale. The
official Internet site of the National Association of REALTORS®,
Jennifer was responsible for daily updates and new construction
of the parent site as well as the design and development
of new websites for third party partners. Jennifer was the
sole designer and contact person for her clients and national
realtor representatives. Her knowledge of website development
and procedures allowed Jennifer to create new documentation
and policy procedures for the client to use in their future
web development.
Internet Site Design and Programming of Five Radio Stations
for Clear Channel Broadcasting
Jennifer was solely responsible for understanding client
expectations and requirements, business analysis, site design,
development, and testing of five Internet sites for the
largest national radio broadcasting company in the nation.
She facilitated the project, prioritizing tasks, while managing
change requests simultaneously for all five radio station
websites while completing the project ahead of schedule
and under budget. The radio station sites she created were
extremely diverse ranging from hip-hop to rock to country.
Jennifer created a similar but unique web presence for each
station while maintaining the parent company’s policies
and standards.
A Fortune 5 International Medical Services
Company Web-Based Mergers & Acquistions
Created the interface for a global medical supplier’s
web-based mergers and acquisitions system. The application
manages content regarding the sale, acquisition and research
of third party businesses. Jennifer was the design lead
for the project and facilitated meetings with the client
gathering requirements and analyzing procedures to create
a layout that successfully illustrates the client’s
project and business goals and directs the users easily
through the functionality of the site.
GE Medical Sales Web Center
Created the interface for a web-based sales document management
system that dynamically manages content and uploading capabilities
built with JSPs. The application allows administration to
alter the web site content through the administration interface
created by Jennifer. The administration console interfaces
with Oracle’s Internet File System which generates
the arrangement of the main presentation layout. The sales
personnel could then access the documents, brochures or
images through the web-based interface. Jennifer was solely
responsible for creating this interface and managing the
layout of graphics that were dynamically created based on
the JSP.
GE Medical Global Supplier Site Design
Jennifer created the design of a global supplier site which
dynamically creates supplier profiles used to order and
reorder product services. As the Web Designer, she was responsible
for analyzing the current site and reformatting information
to expand the usability and functionality of the site. Jennifer
incorporated dynamic HTML (DHTML) to compact the large amount
of dynamic data into the site while still delivering a graphically
pleasing and streamlined interface.
GE MedicalServices Redesign
Jennifer was the Graphic Designer on a five-person team
that defined and developed a new Internet Web Site for the
client’s external customers using Interwoven and Java.
Jennifer was responsible for creation of all graphic images
and photographs used within the site. She also assisted
in creation of HTML templates used in interwoven and site
layout.
Accessories Design
Jennifer assisted with reformatting and redesign of an existing
accessories site which was used to order product accessories.
She was the Web Developer on a team that reworked existing
graphics and code according to client specification. She
created and reformatted JSP code to create graphics around
complicated dynamic functions to create a look that would
have otherwise been difficult to produce. Jennifer also
created HTML templates formatted to match the already existing
site.
Web Design and Development for a Water
Treatment Facility
Jennifer served as the Web Designer for an international
water treatment company. She was responsible for concepts
beginning with initial look and feel through implementation
of navigation and design of client site. Jennifer also assisted
in programming the client site with current DHTML scripting
including dynamic drop down menus and complicated mouseover
effects.
A Computer Services Company Web Design
and Development
Jennifer served as Senior Graphic Designer / Web Designer,
responsible for design, programming, implementation, and
maintenance of client sites. She served as the lead on each
project she managed, often juggling up to 8 projects simultaneously.
Jennifer was not only the main contact on her projects,
but also conducted sales meetings and administrative duties
for the clients she served. Besides web development, Jennifer
was also responsible for writing product literature and
developing advertising material for print media.
